Denmark to host Iranian short ‘Daily Massacre in Tehran’

Iranian short ‘Daily Massacre in Tehran’ is to compete at the 2021 Odense Int’l filmfest in Denmark.

Iranian short flick ‘Daily Massacre in Tehran’ has been selected to compete at the 2021 Odense International Film Festival (OFF) in Denmark.

Directed by Hessam Hamidi, a synopsis for the short film reads “Foad is a 12-year-old boy who comes to Tehran to make money and support his mother. He is willing and ready to take on any paying job, but each job brings with it a set of new challenges”.

The cast list of the film includes Hamid-Reza Karami, Mehran Atashzaee, Rouzbeh Sinaki, and Mehrnoush Salimi.

Written and produced by Hossein Tehrani, the film will experience its first international presence at the Palm Springs International Film Festival soon.

Launched in 1975, the Oscar-qualifying OFF is the oldest short film festival in Denmark.

The event hosts films from around the world and provides an opportunity for filmmakers to showcase their works.

The upcoming edition of the OFF will be held on August 30-September 5, 2021.
